Documents
Bring to the interview: valid passport (valid ≥6 months beyond your stay); DS-160 confirmation page (with barcode); visa fee receipt; 2×2 inch (51×51mm) white-background photo; appointment confirmation.
Supporting documents (to show you'll return on time; the embassy may ask): proof of work / residence and ties in PH; bank statements, ITR, savings; itinerary and purpose. Employed: COE / leave letter / payslips / ITR / statements. Self-employed: DTI or SEC / Mayor's Permit / BIR + ITR / company statements + financials. A tourist visa needs no invitation letter or affidavit of support.
Validity
B1/B2 is usually issued for 10 years, multiple entry.
🇨🇳 Note for Chinese passport holders — key 2025 rule
From 6 September 2025, the US generally accepts non-immigrant visa applications only in the applicant's country of nationality (China) or legal residence (Philippines) — third-country applications are no longer routinely accepted. Chinese nationals who are established long-term residents of the Philippines (long-term visa + ACR I-Card) may apply at the Manila embassy; those merely on a short stay with no firm residence may be refused and told to apply from China. Verify your residence status first. Philippine passport holders are unaffected and apply at Manila with DS-160 + interview.
